This is an original Victorian cabinet card (photo) that I have mounted to canvas paper and painted on and around. This technique leaves only the face of the forgotten one peering out at us from a background wild with color, sparkle and pattern. I love how you can still see the shape of the original card. Her face is really sweet too.
She is tucked sweetly into a vintage wooden frame with glass.
