Lover's eyes were once fashionable to wear as jewelry. A person would get a miniature of their loved one's eye painted to wear as a token of love and a reminder of the person.
Originally done in water color on ivory my version is done in oil on a vintage tea saucer.
These look great hanging alone or hanging in a grouping with other paintings you may already have. I have attached a 3M hook on the back so it is ready to hang.
